American Crocodile Osteoderm Scute Bone

This is a 2 1/4 “ American Crocodile osteoderm. These are the boney bumps you see on their back which help with thermoregulation and also helps to protect them.
Great for display or an educational tool. This osteoderm was from a captive American crocodile named Bruno who was 14 feet long and resided at Gatorland in central Florida. I worked there and helped care for him until he passed.
