Presented today is this wonderful Hopi Kachina doll, depicting the Salako Mana Kachina, the Hopi verson of the Zuni Shalako. This thoroughly charming doll was carved by Vernon Dallas, a young man who is lively and rambunctious, and incredibly likable (i think he would make a wonderful Mudhead). He's also very talented, and carves with a skill of someone many years older and wiser.
